Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using DaylightInfo. By accessing or using our website, mobile applications, or any of our services (collectively, the "Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our Services.
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and DaylightInfo. By using our Services, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old, or that you are at least 18 years old or have parental consent if required by applicable law, and that you have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.
2. Our Services
DaylightInfo provides a digital news platform offering news articles, opinion pieces, multimedia content, and related services. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of our Services at any time without notice.
Our content is provided for informational purposes only. While we strive for accuracy, we make no warranties about the completeness, reliability, or accuracy of any information on our platform.
3. User Accounts
Publisher accounts require admin approval before they become active. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in abusive behaviour, or compromise the security of our platform.
One person may not maintain more than one account. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent a suspension is prohibited.
4. Content and Intellectual Property
Our content: All articles, photographs, graphics, videos, and other content published by DaylightInfo are protected by copyright. You may not reproduce, distribute, or commercially exploit our content without written permission, except for fair dealing purposes permitted by Nigerian copyright law.
Your content: When you submit content to us (including comments, letters, or contributed articles), you grant DaylightInfo a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to publish, distribute, and archive that content. You retain ownership but confirm that your submission does not infringe any third-party rights.
Prohibited content: You must not submit content that is defamatory, obscene, hateful, threatening, or that infringes intellectual property rights. We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these restrictions.
5. Comments and Community Standards
Comments are subject to moderation. By submitting a comment, you agree not to post content that:
- Is defamatory, abusive, harassing, or threatening
- Incites hatred based on race, religion, ethnicity, gender, or sexual orientation
- Contains personal information about third parties without consent
- Constitutes spam or unsolicited advertising
- Violates any applicable law or regulation in Nigeria

Our Services may contain links to third-party websites. These links are provided for convenience only. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of third-party sites and do not endorse them.
We use third-party services including Cloudinary (media hosting), Disqus (comments), and analytics providers. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.

Our Services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, DaylightInfo disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
